About
The HBCU Connection is a subsidiary of Y U Matter and has a goal to inform and educate high school students on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). We provide virtual informational sessions with the university staff and students to highlight the academics, social life and career preparation of that school to provide additional educational options for high schoolers.
This effort program started back in 2020 with students in Massachusetts that were looking to learn more about HBCUs and how to select the ones that are the right fit. This program is now expanding outside of Massachusetts with the goal to bring awareness to all as many students as possible of all of the opportunities they can obtain from attending an HBCU.
"Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today."
- Malcolm X
